Privacy Policy

Prompt Duel is built to work without accounts and with as little data as possible. No ads, no advertising trackers, no selling of personal data.
What we store
- A random player id made by your browser and kept in its local storage, with your gamertag, rating, game record and a backup code. This is how your profile works without an account.
- Prompts you write, to make images and score rounds. In host mode, prompts are shown on the host's screen.
- Anonymous usage statistics: daily counts of visits and games, country (from the network, not GPS), language, device type and the site that sent you. Counted per day; not linked to a name.
- Host mode votes: which of the top pictures a room liked best, stored without names or ids, to improve the game and the scoring.
- League sign-ups: the email or social handle you choose to give, only to contact you about the League.
What we don't do
No accounts, no passwords, no real names, no tracking cookies, no ads, no selling or sharing of personal data. We would only ever share anonymous, aggregated data (for example "which of two pictures more people preferred") and only with a clear opt-in first.
Service providers
The site runs on Vercel and Cloudflare (hosting, AI image generation and translation). Fonts are loaded from Google Fonts. These providers process technical data such as IP addresses to deliver the service.
Children and schools
Players don't need to give any personal information to play. Host mode is designed for classrooms: no student accounts, filtered names and prompts, and the host can remove players.
Your rights
Under the GDPR you can ask to see or delete your data. Email us with your gamertag and backup code (Settings → Play on another device) and we'll handle it. You can also clear your browser's storage for this site at any time.
